FAQs

What is Palmetto Energy?

Palmetto Energy is a new product we're offering. Palmetto Energy Plans are retail electricity plans that provide 100% renewable grid energy for power not generated by solar– at a competitive import rate and matched buyback rates for excess solar generation.

Where can I sign up?

Our electricity plans are available today. Homeowners can sign up before or after their system is active. By signing up early, they can ensure a smooth transition once their solar panels or battery storage is installed. The plan is designed to be great prior to installation, and even afterwards.

How is my plan's pricing calculated?

Pricing is determined by your location and includes various energy components such as generation costs, transmission and distribution fees and local taxes. You can view your rate quote during the sign-up process.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees. Pricing is transparent and straightforward.

Do my credits expire?

No, your solar energy credits roll over month to month and never expire.

What happens to excess export credits?

Your Export Credits will automatically appear as a credit on your account and will offset the other amounts owed. Any unused credits will be rolled over and automatically applied to future bills to offset any remaining Energy Charges.
