The Palmetto Comfort Plan allows homeowners to install energy-efficient heating, cooling, and water heating systems with predictable monthly payments and service coverage included.

With the Comfort Plan, you can install new equipment without paying the full upfront cost, while receiving ongoing maintenance and service support throughout your agreement.

The Comfort Plan supports several types of heating, cooling, and water heating systems designed to improve your home's comfort and energy efficiency.

Installing a new home comfort system can involve significant upfront costs. The Comfort Plan makes it easier to upgrade by offering a monthly payment option with service coverage included.

How it works

End-of-Term Options
At the end of your agreement, several options may be available:

• Renew your plan and continue using the system
• Upgrade to newer technology with a new plan
• Explore buy-out options if you prefer to own the system
• End your agreement and have the equipment removed

Service and maintenance

One of the key benefits of the Comfort Plan is the inclusion of service and maintenance coverage in your agreement. This helps ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition while protecting you from unexpected repair costs.

HVAC & Heat Pump Systems

• Coverage for major maintenance during the 10 or 12-year term
• One preventative maintenance opportunity per year (on-site or remote, depending on system capabilities)

Maintenance appointments are typically offered annually, and you may choose to opt out at any time.

Water Heating Systems

• Full parts coverage for the 10-year term
• Service and repair labor supported by system manufacturer and third-party coverage

Whether it's routine maintenance or troubleshooting, your installer will be your go-to point of contact for any support you need. The contact information for your installer can be found in your Palmetto account online or within the Palmetto app.

Moving or selling your home?

If you move out, you generally can't take your Comfort Plan system with you. Relocation is only possible in rare cases, and it requires the new home to be in the same utility district and within our service area. You'd also need approvals, and would be responsible for any relocation, redesign, and approval costs. It's usually not worth it.

If you're selling your home, there are two options:

• Transfer the plan. If you're in years 1 through 5, the Comfort Plan can be transferred to the new homeowner if they qualify and sign a transfer agreement.
• Buy out the lease. If a transfer isn't possible, you can buy out the lease. The amount depends on what year of the lease you're in.
