Give customers backup without the upfront cost
Your customers get a fully installed, fully serviced home battery system for one flat monthly payment — no money down. You get paid at install. We handle everything after.
Open a new revenue line, close more installs, and reach customers you couldn't convert before.
The biggest opportunity in home energy right now
Your solar customers already believe in clean energy. They already want to know what happens when the grid goes down. The outage conversation opens naturally — and the monthly option means more of those conversations close.

Simple for you. Simple for your customers.
Built to work for everyone.
For your customers:
• Nothing upfront. One flat monthly payment starting as low as $98/month. • Everything covered: installation, monitoring, warranty, and full service for the entire term. • Keeps the home running during outages. Also enables participation in VPP programs and utility rate arbitrage where available. • Works with solar of any financing type — owned, leased, or PPA — or with no solar at all. • Transfers to the new homeowner at sale. • End-of-term options: renew, buy out, upgrade, or walk away.
For you:
• No dealer fees. Fast approvals, digital contracts, and direct payment from Palmetto. • Works for new installs and retrofits. Re-engage your existing solar customers with a warm, natural conversation. • Sell standalone or as an add-on to LightReach solar. • Unlock a market that was previously closed: every TPO solar home — leased or PPA — is now a viable battery prospect. The Palmetto lease is AC-coupled and fully standalone; no changes to the existing solar system, no sign-off from the solar provider. • Palmetto owns the equipment, covers all costs, and manages all service for the full term. Nothing comes back to you after the sale.
$0 down. Full service. Flexible terms.
Today’s market requires higher close rates and long-term revenue, not one-time installs.
$0 upfront
Converting a $12K–$25K+ system into a flat monthly payment removes the single biggest barrier to a yes. More closeable deals with the same leads — without increasing your cost to acquire them.
Full service included
Installation, monitoring, maintenance, repairs, and replacements — all covered for the full 12-year term, even beyond OEM warranty. Your customers have one number to call: Palmetto's. It never falls on your team.
Flexible end of term
Renew, buy out, upgrade, or walk away. Transfers to the new homeowner at sale. Flexibility for your customers means fewer reasons to hesitate — and more deals that close.
The old way vs. Energy Backup
Same battery. A better way to sell it.

3
New solar attach
Add storage to every quote so customers can get solar and backup with no upfront cost holding them back.
Dealer FAQs
Who's responsible for the equipment after the sale?
Palmetto. We own the system for the full lease term and cover everything — installation, ongoing monitoring, repairs, and replacements. Your customer leases it for one flat monthly payment and has a single point of contact for any service needs: Palmetto.
What exactly is included in service and maintenance?
Parts, labor, repairs, replacements, proactive monitoring, and full warranty coverage for the entire lease term — including coverage beyond the OEM warranty period. If something goes wrong with the system at any point during the term, Palmetto handles it.
How do I get paid?
Directly from Palmetto: 80% at install, 20% at activation. The same payment flow you know from solar. No dealer fees.
Won't adding a battery affect a customer's existing solar warranty or PPA?
No. Energy Backup systems are AC-coupled — they connect on the AC side of the home, the same way an EV charger would. No changes are made to the existing solar system, inverter, or DC wiring. The customer's solar warranty, PPA rate, and performance guarantee are completely untouched.
Can customers with a leased or PPA solar system qualify?
Yes. The Palmetto lease is fully standalone and independent of any existing solar agreement — no refinancing, no amendment, no sign-off from the solar provider required.
Will this compete with my cash or loan sales?
No. Energy Backup is built to win deals that price would otherwise kill — customers who want backup but won't pay $12K–$25K+ upfront. It opens a segment that cash and loan can't reach, without touching the customers who prefer to buy outright.
What are the eligibility requirements?
675+ FICO (soft pull, no DTI check), no existing battery on-site, and the home must be in one of our 25 live states. Solar of any financing type qualifies; standalone backup (no solar) also qualifies. Eligibility matches Palmetto's standard solar-approved home types and policies.
